Active Case Detection and Regular Surveillance (ACDRS) of Leprosy Cases
Kanas Block of Puri District
A plan was made for active case detection and regular surveillance (ACDRS) on Leprosy programe in 10 Villages of Kanas Block during 30th Jan 2022 to find out suspected cases of leprosy. The following villages were identified for the surveillance work.

Total 3494 house holds were covered and about 16841 persons were examined by ASHA workers out of which only 7 suspected cases referred to Block Headquarter for screening. Dr. Ramesh Chandra Behera, Superintendent of CHC Kanas has verified all the 7 suspected cases and fortunately no case of leprosy was found.
Sri Krushna Chandra Baral, Block Nodal Leprosy Worker exclusively monitored the surveillance work smoothly.
